General

Pump-E type PEL aerator is normally used in waste water treatment plant to input oxygen into aeration tank, also to make sewage mix thoroughly with activated sludge and make the sludge suspending. It is also used in the process of pre-aeration, aeration-degriting, aeration-flotation etc.


Construction & Working Principle

As per Figure below, PEL aerator consists of motor, vertical gearbox, base, oldham coupling, shaft, pump-E type impeller and control cabinet etc. The impeller immersed at certain depth in the water is driven by the dive unit, the water is strongly agitated by the impeller and eddy flow is generated, which causes the sewage sucked into impeller inlet and thrown out via outlet at high speed in a form of hydraulic jump, as a result the water surface is continuously renewed, more water will contact with air and more oxygen will be dissolved in the water.
